1. Annie Leibovitz

The American portrait photographer, Annie Leibovitz is the first woman to hold an exhibition in 1991 at Washington’s National Portrait Gallery. Her work has been published on a lot of relevant magazine and album covers, and her famous projects include photographing John Lenon on the day of his assassination. She has also photographed various celebrities, worked for Disney’s “Year of a Million Dreams” campaign and has worked with many magazines like Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone. She is the recipient of 2013 Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and her notable photographs include Adele for Vogue in 2016, Dane DeHaan for Prada, and Bill Gates for the cover of “The Road Ahead” among many others.
2. Robert Capa

Famous as the greatest adventure photographer, Robert Capa is a Hungarian photojournalist and war photographer. He is prominent for the photographs he clicked in the five major wars- the Spanish Civil War, World War II, Arab-Israeli War, First Indochina war and the Second Sino-Japanese War which got published in key magazines and newspapers. He is also the co-founder of the well-known photographic cooperative Magnum Photos in Paris. The war photographer has received the Medal of Freedom in 1847 from the then U.S general Dwight D. Eisenhower for his work covering very appropriately World War II in images.
3. Steve McCurry

Best known for his photograph “Afghan Girl” that was originally published in the magazine National Geographic, Steve McCurry is leading photojournalist and a significant member of Magnum Photos. He is famous for focusing on the human consequences of war and his portrayal has been made in a documentary called “The Face of The Human Condition” by Denis Delestrac. He has received various awards and honors, some of them being the Royal Photographic Society's Centenary Medal, Magazine Photographer of The Year Award by National Press Photographers Association, and two first place prizes in the World Press Photo Contest.
4. Michael Kenna

Best known for black and white landscapes, Michael Kenna’s works focus on the interaction between natural landscapes and man-made structures. His photographs have been displayed at several museums and galleries in Asia, Australia, and Europe; and has also done commercial work for Volvo, Rolls-Royce, Sprint, Audi and The Spanish Tourism Board. Around 20 books have been published on his work and he is also the recipient of several awards like Art in Public Buildings Award, Golden Saffron Award and Honorary Master of Arts.
5. Mario Testino

With work being appreciated globally and featured in numerous international magazines like Vogue, V Magazine, Vanity Fair and GQ; Mario Testino has been labeled as "the world's most prolific magazine and fashion trade photographer". His creativity doesn’t limit itself to photography, but he is also a successful creative director, museum founder, art collaborator and entrepreneur. He has worked with well-known celebrities, over 16 books have been published on his work and he is the world’s most popular fashion photographer. One of his most recognizable works include his series with Diana, Princess of Wales in 1997, and has done a lot of commercial work. He has received International Center of Photography Infinity Award, Best Photographer in the World Award, British Style Award and Honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire in recognition of services to photography and charity.
