Born 1980, in the eastern state of Odisha. Living in Hyderabad. I am a dancer, dance educator and choreographer. I strongly believe “Dance is Life and Life is to Dance". I was initiated to the art of Odissi when I was 7 years old.
My early training under many great guru's of odissi have definitely helped me to understand the core technicalities of Odissi repertoire. I successfully completed my MMus from Akhila Bharatiya Gandharva Maha Vidyalaya. My quest for enriching my creative art with the technique and style in social context is the final goal of my life.
I have wide range of teaching and performing experience in this field both in India and USA. I have worked in schools, colleges, universities and in other corporate venues.
My focus is on molding budding talent to professional standards of excellence, while at the same time pursuing my performing interests. I also keep abreast of traditional Odissi repertoire and contemporary trends, and as a consequence, frequently invited to conduct workshops, judge talent in competitions and provide lecture demonstrations.
Presently I am looking for PHD in Dance. Research proposal is "Dance is Natural and dance is Universal" A study with scientific subjectivity.
And also looking for new challenges and opportunities to make a difference in my high impact teambuilding dancing activities and movement sessions for businesses. I use the Odissi and free style movements in professional settings to illustrate the principles of leadership development and interactive teamwork.
I will empower your team by combining fundamental communication skills with our unique gesture and movement methodology. Each performance and dancing workshop is tailored to meet predefined objectives that deliver tangible results with surprising impact such as each individual will be able to channelize their connection of body and mind.
My lecture demonstrations are going to be very informative, interactive and entertaining.

Odissi choreography on a Tarana in raag Malkauns
This dance piece is originated with an interet to see Odissi in a different attire. The composition of Tarana has been a tradition in Hindustani music. This type of composition is also used by kathak dancers for their pure dance pieces. It is similar to Pallavi in odissi dance and Tillana in Bharatnatyam as even noted danceuse and exponent Balasaraswati also mentioned. The inricacies of music and it's growth with improvisation is very facinating.
Hopefully my audience would love to see a new choreography.apart from the odissi with odissi music
